South Malabar Gramin Bank Notified Recruitment to 256 Various Posts 2013

South Malabar Gramin Bank, Malapuram, Kerala invited online applications for recruitment to 256 posts of Officers (Middle and Junior Management - Scale II and I) and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Candidates who have qualified the Common Written Examination for RRBs conducted by IBPS in September 2012 are eligible to apply. Eligible candidates can apply online till 27 July 2013.

For Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Language Proficiency is required i.e. candidates must possess proficiency in local language and must have passed “local language --  Malayalam” as one of the subjects at Matriculation / class 10th.

IBPS Score Card: Candidates declared qualified in the RRBs-Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS in September 2012 should have obtained a Minimum Weighted Score, Total Weighted Standard Score and the Standard score in each test as per the details given in the notification.

Candidates should be able to produce the score card in support of the scores mentioned in the online application form, if called for Interview.

Age Limit (as on 01 June 2012):
For Officer Scale- II: Above 21 years - Below 32 years
For Officer Scale- I: Above 18 years - Below 28 years
For Office Assistant: Between 18 years and 28 years
 (Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe, by 3 years for Other Backward Classes and by 10 years for Persons With Disability candidates)

Pay Scale: 
Officer in Middle Management Grade (Scale II): Rs.19400-700/1- 20100-800/10- 28100
Starting total emoluments: Rs.36900 (approx)

Officer in Junior Management Grade (Scale I): Rs.14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700

Probation Period: Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years for Officers (Scale II and Scale I) and 1 year for Office Assistant - MP

Selection Procedure: Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in RRB CWE conducted by IBPS in September 2012 and Personal Interview.

Depending on the number of vacancies, Bank will call candidates -- three times the number of vacancies -- short-listed on the basis of their Total Weighted Standard Scores (TWSS). The total marks for Interview will be 30.

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank. Appointment will also be subject to the Service & Conduct Rules of the Bank.

The Bank may at its discretion hold a second stage / conduct Supplementary process wherever necessary in respect of a centre / venue / specific post of a candidate(s)

Travel Allowance: Unemployed eligible SC / ST / PWD outstation candidates attending the Interview will be reimbursed to and fro second class ordinary train / bus fare by the shortest route on production of evidence of travel. 

Call Letters for Interview: All short-listed candidates will be issued call letters at the correspondence address given in the application form. The call letters will be sent by post / courier. 

Candidate will have to affix his / her photograph on the call letter and bring it along with original fee payment receipt and requisite enclosures while attending the Interview without which they will not be allowed to take up the Interview.

Interview Centers: Interview will be held at a centre that will be convenient to the Bank. Complete address of the venue will be advised in the call letters. The address of the venues will also be displayed in the Bank’s website one week before the dates for commencement of Interviews.

Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee has to be deposited in any branch either South Malabar Gramin Bank (in CBS a/c no: 40112111000052) OR Canara Bank (in CBS a/c no: 0755201005251) by means of a Payment challan available on the SMG Bank’s website www.smgbank.com.
 
Separate Challans are available for Officers cadre and Office Assistant (Multipurpose).  Also, there Challans for remitting the fee South Malabar Gramin Bank and Canara Bank are also different. All the 4 challan formats are available on the website www.smgbank.com. Candidate should carefully select the challan of the desired bank and for the desired post / cadre.

For Officer JM Scale I and Officer MM Scale II

For Office Assistants (Multipurpose)

After downloading and printing the required Challan (format applicable to them) from the Bank’s website www.smgbank.com, candidates’ should fill it and deposit the fee in the any branch of the concerned bank -- South Malabar Gramin Bank (SMGB) or Canara Bank.

The CBS fee payment Challan contains two parts. The first part – Bank’s copy -- will be retained by the Branch. 

The candidate should obtain the second part -- Applicant’s Copy -- of the Application Fee Payment Challan duly authenticated by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & code No, (b) Transaction id / Scroll number (c) Date of Deposit & amount filled by the Branch Official after depositing the fee and (d) Signature of the concerned Bank Official accepting the fee with seal.

Candidates should retain this copy of the Challan for producing at the time of interview.  Without original CBS Challan receipt the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the Interview. 

How to Apply: Candidates can apply online through Bank’s website www.smgbank.com  till 27 July 2013. After submission of application candidate need to take its print out and retain it for further use.

Candidates will be required to produce / submit an Application printout along with the fee payment receipt and copies of required documents, if shortlisted for Interview.

Candidates should ensure that their personal email ID (as specified in the online application form while applying for RRBs- Common Written Examination CWE conducted in September 2012) is kept active during the currency of a recruitment project. The bank may send call letters for Interview etc. to the registered email ID.

Candidates willing to serve anywhere in the operational area of the Bank  (Kerala State) should only apply.
